We bring you the results of our last three quarterly surveys on respondents’ forecasts for the economic situation over the coming three months.

Japan has continued to be the most pessimistic (= lowest market index score) and China the most optimistic among the 8 markets we tested (Figure 1). This caused us to wonder: Does Japanese pessimism and Chinese optimism towards “the next three months” reflect the actual direction the economy is moving? We looked into it and found some interesting results.
